International flights land in Québec at the Trudeau airport in Montréal or the Jean Lesage airport in Québec City. If you decide to stop by Montréal before the conference and rent a car to drive to Québec City, the 250 km drive separating the two cities is straightforward, taking 2.5 hours as the speed limit is 100km/h. Highway 40 following the northern shore of the St Lawrence river is probably more scenic than its southern counterpart (the 20).

If you land in Québec from outside Canada at Trudeau airport in transit to Jean Lesage (Québec City), you will need to go through the Canadian customs in Montréal before boarding your flight for Québec. Count a minimum of 1.5 hours in Montréal airport to complete your connection; you will avoid rushing or risking to miss your flight.

The Jean Lesage airport is located a 20 min drive from downtown Québec City. When you exit from the airport turn right on the "Route de l'aéroport" and go straight, follow the Duplessis highway (Autoroute Duplessis) and turn left on Boulevard Laurier. Then, again a straight drive as Boulevard Laurier becomes in turn Chemin St Louis and Grande Allée.

Once on Grande Allée you enter downtown Québec City with on your right the Plains of Abraham (Battlefields Park). Continue straight ahead. The Loews Le Concorde has a panoramic restaurant that makes it identifiabl from far away. It will be located on your right on the Cours du General de Montcalm (after the number 175 on the map below).
